Introduction – Artificial intelligence is rapidly advancing in various sectors, challenging traditional business structures and promoting alternate approaches for operations and strategies. This dissertation will investigate the impact AI can have on business operations and strategy to overall improve their growth. The number of companies worldwide looking to adopt AI is consistently increases due to AI improving efficiency and decision-making, allows you to gain a competitive advantage and have a strong market positioning.
Objectives/Aims –
1. Exploration of the diverse purposes of AI within company operations, which ranges from decision support systems and optimising processes.
2. Investigation of AI’s impact on corporations’ structure and culture, assessing how it can impact employee roles and relationships.
3. Examine the strategic implications of AI within business growth, identifying essential factors to gain a competitive advantage.
4. Evaluate possible challenges and ethical concerns that could be associated with the adoption of AI and recommending systems for reliable AI integration.
5. Recommend successful practices for organisations that are searching to exploit the benefits of AI amongst the potential difficulties and ambiguities that are found by these life-changing technologies.
Method – The data is sourced through secondary research. This consists of both qualitative(e.g. case study and industry documents) and quantitative data (e.g. published data).
Conclusion – This study provides valuable insights into the topic of AI and why organisations need to understand the benefits and risks before implementing the various technologies. A case study of Uber was used to evaluate how AI has made them a successful AI-first global company.
