Buildings for intergenerational living – Northern European models and their potential for replication in the UK

The aim of this dissertation is to explore the feasibility of intergenerational living along with its opportunities and constraints in a realistic scheme that can be integrated into the social, environmental and economic stance of the UK. This will involve researching current schemes in Northern Europe and the UK and critically evaluating them. The outcome is to achieve a tailored response to the specific needs of the UK, focusing on social sustainability in architecture.
