Intelligence plays a vital role in any country’s counter-terrorism strategy, the UK terror attacks in 2017 highlight the importance of analysing the role of intelligence failures in failing to prevent these attacks. Intelligence failures are often blamed for allowing terror attacks to occur, but the role of policy in these so-called failures is often overlooked.
